David Yianacou
This 23-year-old Burgos native has been deeply involved in music since childhood. He is the grandson of Andreas Hadji Yianacou, a Cypriot luthier based in Burgos, whose dozens of instruments have traveled all over the world.
He began his musical studies in 2014, earning an elementary degree in bassoon at the Rafael Frühbeck Professional Conservatory in Burgos. At the same time, in 2017, he began his career as a chorister with the Burgos Chamber Choir, of which he is currently the president.
In 2018, he took a turn in his musical life by beginning professional Baritone singing training, which he is currently pursuing.
In 2022, he joined the Lumina Vokalensemble family as assistant conductor, becoming principal conductor at the end of that same year.
He has participated in various projects such as Mozart's Requiem, a participatory project organized in Burgos through La Caixa and the Burgos Federation of Choirs, the participatory project with the Burgos group Fetén Fetén, the performance of Vivaldi's Gloria in the Holy Week Proclamation of 2023, and as Baritone Soloist in the Holy Week Proclamation of 2025, both in the SI Cathedral of Burgos.
Over the past year, she has also been a member of the Tiento Chamber Choir, performing benefit concerts for various associations, and occasionally with the Vadillos Chamber Choir.
She has received various masterclasses from professionals such as Ana Mª Castillo, Nuria Orbea, Miguel Ángel Arias, and Svetla Krasteva, among others.
In February 2025, he participated in the Mozart and Beethoven concert with Ramón Torrelledó at the National Auditorium of Music in Madrid, performing WA Mozart's Requiem Mass in D minor.
